A Little About Myself
I grew up in Big Spring, Texas and attended college at Texas Tech University. I have two grown children and two children still at home. I have been teaching in Gorman since 1996. I started my career here as a teacher's aide and substitute bus driver. I then became the ESL and Migrant Education Coordinator and the CEI reading lab facilitator. I moved into the regular classroom teaching 5th and 6th grade English, Spelling, Handwriting, and Social Studies. From there, I moved to Pre-Kindergarten and taught there for around twenty years. I have been the junior high cheer coach for close to ten years. I am currently the elementary life skills and resource teacher. I believe in giving everything I can to my students each day. I enjoy spending time with my children, fishing, playing tennis, watching softball, interior design, traveling, and listening to the ocean waves roll in.
